Staircase.

Assalamualaikum

Haha (small laugh is a good exercise for your cheek muscle).

Alright, don’t bother about the words written on that staircase. What matter is the colour, it is pink! Okay, I’m kidding. What matter is what I am going to say.

Okay. Since I was kid, we Malaysians always here these kind of motivation words,

USAHA TANGGA KEJAYAAN

In English, hardwork is the step to success!

I know it is kinda lame right? I’ll be more motivated if someone says “ What you plant now, you will harvest later”. What a brilliant word a mouth can spilled out instead of “usaha tangga kejayaan”.

But, this one saying that had drive me to work until now. Why they use “tangga” = staircase as the symbol?

Because in order to get upstairs, you need to lift up all your muscles, made a move, step by step. And why didn’t they just say “USAHA LIFT KEJAYAAN” ?

Simple! Nothing could be achieve as easy as abc. Even when eating. Firstly, you need to cook. Even if you’re really lazy to cook, you need to go to the restaurant, which cost you money and sweats! Then, you need to wash you hand. And even when you’re already put the food inside your mouth, it can’t easily get into your stomach and you immediately throw that BURPPPPP out of your throat. It need to go through your oesophagus first, step by step! Then, your foods are converted into energy. When you eat, you get energy. Did you know the fact that those food are going through absorption, digestion, then TCA cycle, then electron transport chain and by then only the ATP phosphorylation take place and taraaaaa, energy comes out!

Allah has shown us how to get thing done, step by step.

So, usaha is like tangga. Single step might not worth a success, but single step may lead to the next step which lead you toward the success. Oh myyyy, do you get me? Haha, what I mean is, little effort and sweat is not enough to reach the success. If you only climb 3 steps out of 10 steps, how could you reach the top? No matter how liters of sweat it takes, no matter how liters of tears it takes, you need to climb all those step to reach the top! The process might be slow, and there will be a time that you really wanna take a rest. The top seems so far away, and you’re thinking you won’t able to made it to the top. But hey! Walk slowly. If you’re running, you’ll end up tiring at one point. Walk step by step and appreciate the journey. At the end, you’ll finally reach the top! HAPPY ENDING

Easily said than done right?

I hope Allah will give me strength to make those steps. Amin. InsyaAllah
